Nasty by design
Created with the founding guitarist and co-writer of Slaughter To Prevail, Slam Amp puts Jack Simmons’ complete guitar-sound toolkit into one purpose-built plugin.

Built With Jack Simmons
As the founding guitarist and co-writer of Slaughter To Prevail, Jack does not rely on one perfect amp tone.
His guitar sounds come from the interaction between real amplifiers, aggressive pedals, pitch shifting, dissonance and layers designed to make the complete sound nastier.
Slam Amp takes that approach and turns it into one playable signal path. Created for the way Jack writes, records and performs, it moves from controlled precision to complete destruction without leaving the plugin.
Fast enough for ideas. Finished enough for records.
One Chain. No Dead Weight.
Slam Amp follows the signal path from input to cabinet, with every stage visible in one interface.
Match the DI. Add Character. Manipulate the pitch. Shape the amp. Choose the cabinet. Every major section can be bypassed independently, while permanent input and output meters keep your levels visible.
Start with Jack’s sound. Then take it wherever the riff needs to go.
Tone Match
Your Guitar. Jack's Starting Point.
Load the plugin, strum the open strings, play some chugs, and you’re already there.
Tone Match
Different guitars, pickups and players hit an amp in completely different ways.
Tone Match creates a profile of your DI and reshapes its response towards Jack’s Signature DI. This gives the pedals, pitch effects and amplifier the input they were designed around, regardless of what you are playing.
It does not replace the character of your instrument. It gives the rest of Slam Amp the intended starting point.
Character
Choose Your Character.
Four distinct distortion and fuzz circuits at the front of the signal path. Each inspired by a different part of Jack’s real-world approach to guitar processing.
Distortion controls the intensity. Tone changes the response. Makeup lets you balance the result without losing level.
Chainsaw is voiced around specific settings from Jack Simmons’s Keeley-modded BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone pedal. Tight, saturated distortion with a sharp, cutting midrange.
Chainsaw keeps palm-mutes focused while pushing pick attack, scrapes and pinch harmonics to the front of the riff. Aggressive, precise and difficult to ignore.
Voiced around specific settings from Jack’s Way Huge Swollen Pickle. A huge, low-heavy fuzz capable of everything from thick saturation to complete destruction.
Use it to add body, movement and an oversized wall of fuzz to the core amp tone.
Inspired by the character of the Spline Laboratories Cathedral. Gated octave fuzz with an abrasive upper-mid rip.
Church is built for layered filth, unstable textures and parts that need to sound intentionally nasty. Blend it beneath the main tone or let it take over completely.
Based on Low Dirt from thall amp, Mace adds disgusting low-end dirt beneath the main guitar tone without swallowing the attack or crowding the entire mix.
Use it to add weight, growl and movement while keeping the front of the riff intact.
Stutter
Stutter turns rhythmic gating into a playable, tempo-synchronised effect.
Choose between straight, dotted and triplet note divisions, then use Tighten to switch the underlying pulse between sixteenth notes and eighth notes.
Use it to create pulsing breakdowns, tempo-locked chugs and rhythmic transitions without drawing automation by hand. Control the depth to move from subtle movement to a fully chopped signal.
Pitch
Shift The Pitch. Keep The Feel.
Proprietary polyphonic pitch engine delivers fixed 10 ms latency across the entire range. Consistent response whether you are shifting the complete guitar, adding a semitone of dissonance or blending octaves beneath the signal.
No changing feel between intervals. No separate pitch plugins. No guesswork
Whammy
Polyphonic pitch shifting for lower tunings, automated movement, dives, rises and abrasive pitch effects.
Shift your guitar in real time without retuning. The interval changes. The 10 ms latency does not.
Dissonance
Blend a parallel signal one semitone above the original guitar.
Instant tension and abrasive harmonic movement, without duplicating tracks or building a separate effects chain.
Turn it up until the riff starts fighting itself.
Amplifier
The Core Tone.
Created to give Jack’s effects & playing the foundation they need. Shape the response using Low, Mid, High & Presence, then control the amount of saturation with Drive.
Enough control to fit the guitar into a real mix. Not enough clutter to turn tone-building into admin.
Including presets from
artist feedback
And Much more...
Fast, reactive gating designed for low tunings, hard stops and rhythm playing. Tighten the gaps without flattening the performance.
Create and save as many profiles as you need. Keep separate profiles for different guitars, pickup positions and tunings, or build a library for every artist who passes through your studio. Change instruments without rebuilding the entire tone.
You’ll always know what’s hitting the amp and what’s coming out. No more chasing mystery clipping.
Every module can be toggled on or off individually. Ideal for quick comparisons, CPU saving, or streamlining a live set.
Strobe-style accuracy, built for ultra-low tunings and extended-range guitars. Toggle it on when needed, and let the auto-mute handle the silence - no more awkward tuning solos. (Auto-mute can be disabled if you're into chaos.)
Save and recall complete sounds for individual guitars, songs, sessions and live sets.
